NICO supports PUSSAM training

NICO Group has donated K1,980,000.00 to Public Universities Staff Sports Association of Malawi (PUSSAM). The funds will go towards the association’s training sessions for its executive members.

As a leading financial institution in Malawi, NICO Group believes in empowering its potential and existing clients to make sound financial decisions.

NICO Pension Head of Operations, Mwawi Nkhonjera, said this sponsorship shows the well cemented partnership between NICO Group and public universities in Malawi.

“Subsidiaries within The Group are and have been involved with tertiary institutions for years. We value the relationship we have with these institutions be it through students, the administration or the tutors,” Nkhonjera said.

She further encouraged the executives of the association to make use of the lessons at the training session to effectively run sporting and recreational activities for their members.

PUSSAM Vice President Dr. Bhekuzulu Khumalo said the donation by NICO is timely.

“With this donation, we will be able to cover various costs guaranteeing a successful two-day training session. NICO Group is a major partner in our activities, and we appreciate the relationship we have with them,” Dr. Khumalo said.

The first training session for the PUSSAM Executives has been slated for 28th – 29th April 2022 and will include presentations by NICO Life and NICO Pension, two of nine subsidiaries of NICO Group. The NICO Group is committed to playing its part in all the sectors that it operates in.
