NICO Sponsors ICTAM Expo

NICO Group which includes, NBS Bank and Eris Properties, has Sponsored the 2023 ICT Expo with K7 million.

The Expo which is being hosted by the ICT Association of Malawi (ICTAM) will be held from 17 – 19 May 2023 in Lilongwe.

NBS Bank Head of ICT, Chinga Chaguluka, said the sponsorship follows NICO Group’s position to significantly contribute to the nation’s digital ambitions.

“As a key player in the development of ICT in Malawi, it is imperative that we are the center of the ongoing discussions where tech is concerned, as such we continue to reiterate our support to ICTAM and its annual ICT EXPO”, Chaguluka said.

He added that the players in the ICT sector have been resilient in growing the industry and it is encouraging to see that ICTAM is fully committed to further developing the sector.

“As the world continues to shift fundamentally towards digital adoption, with the advent of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, economies and companies that need to be faster to adapt are likely to be at a global and competitive disadvantage. As such it is imperative that, as a Group, we continue to encourage such vital causes”, he added.

ICTAM Vice President, Maya Nkoloma, expressed his gratitude for the support that NICO Group has always rendered the association.

“We appreciate the relationship we have with NICO Group, who have always supported our efforts. This sponsorship will go a long way towards the success of this year’s expo”, Nkoloma said.

The 2023 ICT Expo will be held under the theme Building Business Resilience Through Digital Technology and will be held at BICC in Lilongwe.
