The SARPCCO Annual General Conference 2026 has officially commenced in Lilongwe, bringing together police chiefs and security leaders from across Southern Africa. NICO Group is proud to stand at the centre of this landmark gathering as the sponsor, a distinction that speaks not only to the Group’s financial strength, but to its deeply held belief that a secure nation is the foundation upon which sustainable prosperity is built.
Through NICO General, NICO brings a uniquely relevant perspective to this conference. The work of regional police institutions of enforcing traffic law, reducing accidents and protecting infrastructure is inseparably linked to the stability of the insurance sector. When roads are safer and enforcement is effective, risk profiles improve, and NICO can offer more competitive, sustainable cover to individuals, families and businesses across Malawi.
Delegates at the summit are deliberating on a wide range of emerging security challenges, including cybercrime, financial crimes, human trafficking, migrant smuggling, illicit drug trafficking, motor vehicle theft, terrorism and the proliferation of illegal firearms.
Established in 1995, SARPCCO promotes co-operation among police services in Southern Africa through intelligence sharing, joint operations, and co-ordinated responses to regional security threats. Hosting the 31st AGM is widely seen as a demonstration of Malawi’s growing stature within that architecture.
